1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the KCDSI website (“Site”), registering for programs, making donations, submitting forms, or participating in events or virtual services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site or participate in services provided through it.


2. Organizational Purpose
Down Syndrome Innovations (KCDSI) is a nonprofit organization providing support, education, employment services, community programming, and resources for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Information on this Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice.


3. Eligibility & Use of the Site
Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when submitting forms

  • Use the Site for lawful purposes only

  • Respect the privacy and safety of other participants

You may not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

  • Upload malicious or harmful content

  • Misrepresent identity or affiliation

  • Use the Site to harass or harm others

KCDSI reserves the right to restrict access to any user who violates these Terms.


4. Programs, Services & Participation
Participation in programs, events, employment services, volunteer opportunities, or educational offerings may require:

  • Registration forms

  • Consent agreements

  • Liability waivers

  • Code of conduct acknowledgement

KCDSI reserves the right to:

  • Modify program content or schedules

  • Limit or deny participation when necessary

  • Cancel or reschedule events

Participation is voluntary.


5. Participation of Minors
Many KCDSI programs involve minors. By registering a minor, a parent or legal guardian agrees that:

  • They have authority to provide consent

  • Information provided is accurate

  • They accept responsibility for the minor’s participation

Parents/guardians may be required to complete additional consent or release forms prior to participation.


6. Virtual Programs & Online Learning
KCDSI may offer virtual classes, webinars, online meetings, or digital learning resources.
Participants agree:

  • Not to record sessions without permission

  • Not to share login links publicly

  • To follow respectful conduct during virtual sessions

KCDSI is not responsible for technology disruptions, internet connectivity issues, or third-party platform outages.


7. Donations & Online Payments
Donations made through the Site are voluntary contributions supporting the mission of KCDSI.
By donating, you confirm:

  • You are authorized to use the payment method provided

  • Payment information is accurate

Unless otherwise stated, donations are non-refundable.
KCDSI uses third-party payment processors and is not responsible for external processing errors or security breaches beyond its control.


8. Data Collection & Privacy
KCDSI collects information through:

  • Program registrations

  • Family intake forms

  • Event signups

  • Volunteer applications

  • Donations and contact forms

Use of this Site is also governed by the KCDSI Privacy Policy.

9. Media Consent & User Submissions
By submitting photos, videos, testimonials, or stories to KCDSI through the Site or participating in programs/events where media is captured, you grant KCDSI permission to use such materials for:

  • Marketing and outreach

  • Educational materials

  • Social media

  • Fundraising and promotional purposes

Parents/guardians provide consent on behalf of minors unless otherwise indicated in writing.


10. Intellectual Property
All Site content — including logos, program materials, educational resources, graphics, and written content — is the property of KCDSI or its licensors.
You may:

  • Download materials for personal, non-commercial use

You may not:

  • Modify or redistribute materials without written permission

  • Use KCDSI branding without authorization

Users access third-party content at their own risk.


12. Health & Educational Disclaimer
KCDSI provides information and support but does not provide medical, therapeutic, financial, or legal advice.
Participants should consult licensed professionals regarding personal decisions or care plans.


13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KCDSI shall not be liable for:

Participation and Site use are at your own discretion and risk.


14. Indemnification
