Ways to Give

There are many ways to support our mission, whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly recurring donation, a corporate match, or a tribute gift in honor of someone special. You can also give through donor-advised funds, planned giving, or by sponsoring an event. Every gift, no matter the size, fuels our work. Down Syndrome Innovations is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

No matter how much you can support, we have a fundraising event for you! From the competitive (among banks and financial institutions) and fun networking- focused event, Cash Cup Challenge, to our Trivia Night & Auction led by our Adult Continuing Education (ACE) participants, each event brings our mission to life. Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk - Kansas City

The Kansas City Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk is a joyful community event celebrating individuals with Down syndrome, held annually in October. The event features a one-mile ceremonial walk, live music, food, games, and family activities. The walk brings together thousands to promote inclusion and to raise funds for Down Syndrome Innovations, supporting programs that empower individuals and their families.

Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk - Central Missouri

The Central Missouri Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk is a family-friendly event that celebrates the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome. Held each October, the event features a ceremonial one-mile walk, music, games, food, and fun activities for all ages. Families form teams to honor loved ones while raising funds to support Down Syndrome Innovations’ life-changing services and programs.

Step Up for Down Syndrome Golf Tournament - Kansas City

The Kansas City Step Up for Down Syndrome Golf Tournament is an annual (held each Fall) fundraising event that celebrates the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome. The tournament unites golfers, sponsors, and community supporters from across the Nation for a day on the course in support of a shared mission. Proceeds from the tournament help fund educational resources, therapeutic programs, and community initiatives that empower individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential while providing ongoing support to families throughout every stage of life. This tournament is consistently recognized as a Top Five Golf Tournament, as seen in the Kansas City Independent Magazine.

Step Up for Down Syndrome Golf Tournament  - Central Missouri

The Central Missouri Step Up for Down Syndrome Golf Tournament is an annual (held each Spring ) fundraising event dedicated to celebrating the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome. This event brings together golfers, sponsors, and community partners for a day of golf. Participants enjoy a great day of golf and meeting new people all while raising essential funds to support Down Syndrome Innovations and its life-changing programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Amy Stoll
Vice President of Philanthropy

Amy began working at one of our legacy organizations in 2006, serving as Executive Director for First Downs for Down Syndrome. At Down Syndrome Innovations, she oversees philanthropy, stewardship and grants. Amy has over 20 years experience in event planning and philanthropy. Amy earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Kansas.
